한동안 즐겨 들었다가 요즘은 잘 안 듣게 된 영국의 옛 노래가 다시금 생각났어요.
영국 르네상스 음악가로서 꼭 거론되는 존 다울랜드(John Dowland, 1563-1626)의 노래 Come again. 1597년에 발행된 제1음악곡집(First Booke of Songes or Ayres)의 17번 곡이예요.
그럼 들어볼께요. 독창자는 영국의 카운터테너 성악가 알프레드 델러(Alfred Deller, 1912-1979), 반주자는 영국의 류트 연주자 로버트 스펜서(Robert Spencer, 1932-1997).
